Ziricote is a Central American tree with gray and scaly bark. It grows in the forests of southern Mexico, of Yucatan and Nicaragua. Its wood offers delicate shades of beige surrounded by black.
Ziricote is used to make guitars. It is undoubtedly one of the wood species whose tormented veining offers the most intense graphic effects.
