Marblewood, zygia racemosa, is a tree wood, from South America. It has a beige color where irregular dark brown interlacings are drawn, as well as small tawny scales that give it the appearance of a reptile skin.
Reputed to be difficult to work with because of its interlocked grain, demand remains weak, which despite its relative rarity, limits the direct vulnerability of the species.
